Spencer has been a member of the Media Law Resource Center (MLRC), an international network of over 200 law firms and 100 major media organizations, including CNN, ABC News, The Washington Post, and Google. Within MLRC, he contributes to committees on Entertainment Law, Media Deals, Copyright Law, Pre-Broadcast Law, Criminal Law, Employment Law, and Litigation, engaging with leading practitioners in media defense and media law.

Spencer ensured full compliance with Ghana’s educational and non-profit regulations while identifying opportunities for growth and strategic partnerships. He collaborated with local businesses and organizations, established international agreements, and developed programs for foreign volunteers to promote diversity and inclusion. His work supported continued access to education, equal opportunities for marginalized groups, and holistic support for students’ well-being.
Academic City University, Accra, Ghana (September 2021 - August 2024)
Spencer designed and delivered a wide range of courses in law and communications, from First Amendment and Copyright Law to Journalism, Digital Storytelling, and Public Speaking. His innovative teaching increased student participation from 40% to 100% within two years and grew department enrollment by 150% in three years. He organized trips to Ghana’s Supreme Court, facilitated guest lectures with US journalists and Syracuse University law professors, and created unique networking opportunities between students in the US and Africa. Beyond the classroom, Spencer co-patroned a Public Speaking Club and collaborated on peer-reviewed publications, fostering both academic and professional growth for students.
